“Dr.Ci:Labo” had it’s roots in Japan in 1998 with the observations of Yoshinori Shirono, a medical doctor specializing in cosmetology.

Patients came to him everyday seeking advice for their skin troubles - discoloration, wrinkles, acne, rough skin, dry skin, and eczema. Dr. Shirono asked himself…

“Why is there no end to these skin problems?”
“Are there no treatments available to help these people?”
“Are there any skincare lines, that are simple, natural, safe,
but effective?”

The doctor became frustrated with the lack of the skincare products that he could recommend with confidence. Such products did not exist.

Dr. Shirono and his colleagues filled this void and created skincare products to best meet their patient’s needs, focusing on the removal of all ingredients harmful to the skin and keeping only those beneficial to it. The Dr. Ci:Labo skincare line was born with this philosophy of developing only safe and highly effective skincare products.

Who is Dr. Shirono? A specialist in dermatological laser surgery. His search for the best post surgical and post laser treatment for the skin lead him to experiment with cutting edge scientific ingredients and traditional herbal formulas. His range of products address the most prevalent problems people face on a daily basis; overexposure to the sun, wrinkles, poor complexion, dry skin and blemishes.

Dr. Shirono's Bio Doctor Shirono is the Director of Shirono Clinic with over a decade year experience in dermatology and dermatological laser surgery. Doctor Shirono graduated from medical school at the Keio University of Tokyo in 1988 and went on to Japan Medical Laser Laboratory to specialize his dermatological laser surgery in 1990, entering specialist private practice in anti-aging medicine. Doctor Shirono established Shirono Clinic in 1995 and has been perfuming Laser treatment, multi anti-aging treatments and dermatological surgery. Doctor Shirono has written numerous books on laser treatment, health care and anti-aging. Doctor Shirono is a member of Japan Medical Laser Laboratory, Japan Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Japan Dermatological Association,The Society of Aesthetic Dermatology, Japan Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery,The Japanese Society for Gene Diagnosis and Therapy, and many other medical institutions.
